The superintendent has just informed you that the budget has been cut and you will have to lay off five teachers. You will need to consult the union's collective bargaining agreement to determine if layoffs would be based on seniority, or a combination of other factors. The faculty is experiencing low morale due to other factors and changes within the district.
In a 3 to 5 page paper, discuss your communication plan for the union representative, teachers, other campus personnel, and the community of parents. Consider how you will maintain faculty morale during this time of change. Think about questions that will be asked and how you will address them. Incorporate traits and behaviors from the readings and outside research that will be needed to make the decision and convey this message.
