Rules are specific detailed directives that are developed to assist leadership in establishing the parameters which the individuals of the organization must conduct their activities (Longest, 2016). Rule-making is necessary in the healthcare industry because it plays a vital role in ensuring that policies are carried through properly and in a way that benefits citizens, healthcare patients, and those who are providing care to the patients. Without rule-making, a organization would be disorganized and chaotic. The role of interest groups are to observe the policymaking process to determine what policies will affect their members and to inform their members of those changes. Analysis also plays an important role rule-making process in the healthcare field.
