Research the RSPS scenario with which you are familiar to identify a need for change.
Based on the Rancho Solano case studied earlier in the course, you have been selected to make changes to the RSPS subsystems most in need of change, as well as make the necessary human resources management decisions to bring about that change. Create a 1,200-,1500 word paper in which you address the following questions:
1. What one major organizational subsystem needs to be changed in RSPS? Justify your choice.
2. How will that subsystem change affect two other subsystems within the organization and how will you realign the total system?
3. How could you ensure the proposed change will satisfy any three stakeholders of RSPS?

The Rancho Solano Private School was a private school that was founded by the Bayer and Freesmeyer family in 1954. The Bayer and Freesmeyer family were able to open numerous campus sites, but in 2007 they came to an agreement to let the school go and they sold it to the Meritas Family. Some of the students, staff and parents of the school instantaneously started to see some changes shortly after the school switched hands. One of the first major changes was in the name. The name of the school was changed from "private school to "preparatory school". Rancho Solano went from being a non-profit school to school for profit and they made the changes without letting anyone know. The staff and the parents of the school could not understand why the decisions were made and they were left wondering what they were suppose to do now that all of these things were done without them knowing. They also wanted to know the factors that were considered when they decided to close all but two of the campuses. The closings caused several of the staff to lose their jobs, many students went to competivtive colleges and some were not able to attend college that following year.
There were some specific factors that affected Rancho Solano's decision to shut down their Peoria and Gilbert campus. The things that they had to consider were the increased competition and the financial recession that everyone was experiencing. Two highly rated Charter Schools moved in not to far from the Rancho Solano's Hillcrest campus. Some of the students were able to enroll there that had previously attended RSPS Hillcrest. The fact that the economy was not doing well played a major role and it affected the parent's decision to send their children to the charter schools where they did not have to pay for tuition instead of a private school like RSPS. One of the internal factors that were most likely considered by Rancho Solano's was the decision to close the two campuses because of the opening of their latest high school campus in Scottsdale. The only reaming RSPS schools located in the Phoenix area would be located in Scottsdale, the two in Gilbert and Peoria were gone. The campus at Greenway went to the fifth grade and the campus at Ventura was for the middle and high school students (Campus Change Hillcrest, 2014). They combined the K-5 grades to the Greenway campus More than likely, most of the students who attended RSPS from K-5 grade would likely attend their middle and high school years at the Ventura campus. Overall Meritas and Dr. Menard made a good decision to strategically merge all of Rancho Solano's students to the Scottsdale campuses. Their Greenway campus would be the feeder school for the Ventura campus; this would help ensure that the high school was successful. However, they did not effectively communicate with their staff, students or the parents and this was unfortunate decision.
