Discussion Post: American History
• Discuss the major intellectual changes that led to the Enlightenment. Include the major figures and publications that created the climate that gave birth to the Enlightenment.
• How did the European social order change in the Eighteenth century? Include a description of the changing economic system, and the impact of the scientific revolution. Describe who the Bourgeoise were, and why they were so disruptive in the social order. Describe the terms Early Modern Period and Modernity as used by historians.
