One identity that has shaped or influenced me in many ways would be the religious identity. Growing up I couldn't have guessed that I would be a true follower of God because my family were the opposite of what it meant to be that. They said they were Christians but did the exact opposite of what a Christ follower is, so when I first left home at 18. I went the complete opposite way. Going down the wrong path led me towards so many bad choices that honestly defined my life temporarily, that is until I finally was shown what it truly meant to be a follower of Christ. Although I still am not perfect and my journey has not been rock solid, God has changed me and my life in so many different ways that I would have never guessed. The biggest creative work according to the entire community of followers of Jesus Christ is the bible. The bible is the source in which all knowledge flows from, once someone is saved, they receive the Holy Spirit, which then guides that person to be able to understand the complex words of the bible, as well as apply the knowledge that they learn to their life and experiences that they face down the road good or bad. The bible promotes Jesus Christ even in the Old Testament before Jesus came it is filled with information about him, how there will be a savior that comes to save us from eternal death, lead us to glory and righteousness, as well as be more Christ like. While in the New Testament it is several depictions of his short lived but amazing life that was used to glorify God and the kingdom for our good. The only value that could come from the work of Jesus Christ is good value and good works; there are no bad works that come from him. $0 I would say that no matter what season I am in of my life, good or bad, it can always be made good through Jesus and his word.
