Assignment:
Watch the video and then write no more than 5 pages relating the video to the themes and narratives that we discussed in class. Use class discussions, readings, videos, your volunteer experience and presentations done by your peers, to support your writings.
Please try to include at least two of the following:
1. Identify one theme from all the various themes introduced concerning Family Poverty and explain it: include the pros and cons; exceptions to the theory/theme; and to what degree it is a stereotype, if this applies.
2. Define and discuss relative versus absolute poverty.
3. Discuss the differences between poverty in the United States and International poverty.
4. Discuss generational versus situational poverty; give your opinion on which is more severe and more difficult to overcome and why.
