Discuss-family birthday celebrations are an important ritual

Problem:

I need a response to this discussion post including a question: Family birthday celebrations are an important ritual in my family because they show love, belonging, and connection across generations. Over time, the way we gather has changed. When families grow, move away, lose loved ones, and become busy with children's activities, traditions may look different than they once did. However, the meaning behind the ritual stays strong. In my family, birthdays remind everyone that they are valued and still part of something bigger. From a family-systems perspective, rituals help families stay connected and create shared meaning during life changes (Goldenberg & Goldenberg, 2011). Research also shows that family rituals support identity, closeness, and stability, especially when families experience change or stress (Fiese et al., 2002). Even when celebrations happen at a restaurant, a park, someone's home, or while camping, the message is the same: family matters, love continues, and every generation is important.
