CODING CASE:
Barbara Barnette, a 45 year old female, G3P3, states she has been dealing with stress incontinence increasingly over the last several years. She had three vaginal deliveries, with the largest infant weighing 7.5 lbs. Patient states that her leakage frequency, volume, timing, and associated symptoms (urgency, stress, urinary frequency, nocturia, enuresis, incomplete emptying, straining to empty, leakage without warning) have become bothersome and she wants to do something about it.
Today she presents for a complex cystometrogram with voiding pressure study to confirm or deny the diagnosis of stress urinary incontinence prior to the scheduling of surgery.
