Therefore, social workers should discuss the dying process, options, and resources that are available to assist the client ease some of the emotions that comes with death and dying. In addition, culture, traditions and rituals are essential when providing assistance based on the client's perspectives surrounding the dying process. Hence, informing clients of the options available to make the transition a more management task to overcome. Most importantly, it is crucial to acknowledge and understand that the dying process differ from culture to culture and being aware of the individual willingness to openly talk about death which make include denial of the topic (Hutchison & Charlesworth, 2024).

In addition, social workers can inform individuals and families about advance directives which is documents that give instructions about the person's desired health care if they are unable to speak for themselves. Next, a living will, and palliative care that focus on pain and symptoms management. Also, hospice to address the needs of dying person and their loved ones (Hutchison & Charlesworth, 2024). Most recently, medical assisted death which gives medical providers the permission to assist terminal ill patients who wish to end their lives. Hence, more states are passing this law to allow individuals this option after careful counseling, and evaluation.

Social workers having knowledge and understanding about death and dying can provide support and resources to family dealing with death, loss, grief, bereavement, and mourning. Additionally, integrating the family culture, traditions, ritual into the dying process to ensure that they are providing services that are uniquely tailored to the clients and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion during families' most vulnerable stage.
