Problem: Rachel is a resident in a high-care facility. She is a paraplegic with extensive personal care needs. Rachel is a very overweight person who needs three careers to undertake all transfers and handling. Even with three careers undertaking the manual handling, there have been difficulties with Rachel-particularly when inexperienced or agency careers are involved in the transfer or mobilization.
