Student Discussion: If I was put in a position where I have to give a presentation to some high up executives in a company I work for, I would defiantly dress appropriately in a suit or in a dress shirt. In preparing my presentation I would put together a power point presentation that would appeal to the topic of the subjects along with some small amounts of humor to try and keep the atmosphere of the meeting bright and positive. Along with preparing the presentation I would be sure that food and beverages are provided to the all who is attending the meeting. During the presentation if I explain anything that requires any detail, I would explain in a quick and straight honest definition. Meaning I would explain it in the most simplest way possible and make it not offensive. If the role of this situation was flipped where I give my presentation to a group of high school students I defiantly would keep the presentation short and not as definitive compared to what it would be in front of individuals who constantly work or deal with this sort of community. I also would not provide a group of high school student with food and beverages, because I do not have to impress a group of students as much as a group of executive individuals in the company that I work for. I feel that the difference in between the two groups is that one group of individuals is important to your career position in the work place. The other group is a group of kids that do not have any tie into any big corporation and have not graduated or began their initial transition to their careers and their work.
