The textbook explains three different types of learning- Classical Conditioning, Operant Conditioning, Observational Learning (Modeling). Think of a specific skill that you have learned like driving a car, playing a sport, playing an instrument, test taking, playing a video game, etc.
1. Describe the type of learning or combined types of learning that may best explain how you learned that skill.
2. What is the difference between negative reinforcement and punishment?
o How could each concept have helped you to learn a new skill?
3. Think of a behavior that you would want to change in a friend, spouse, mate, or child.
o What Operant Conditioning method or methods would you use and how would you use it/them?
