You use research to find a restaurant, look up reviews for products that you want to buy, write essays for your courses, or try to convince someone of something you believe in. Think about a time when you researched a topic. Was the purpose to teach or build someone's knowledge? Maybe it was to disprove or support the truth or to explore new areas of a topic?

Hello everyone! My name is Felicita, and I am excited to be part of this course with all of you. I currently work for the Charles Evans Center as the Lead Office Manager of Community Rehab and Recovery Services. In my role, I closely collaborate with various programs, including the Supporting Housing and Care Coordinator, and interact with our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, which includes psychologists and registered nurses. Our agency is dedicated to supporting clients who are battling mental illnesses, and I play a crucial role in ensuring they receive comprehensive care.
The research I have used has been on mental health and how to live with the diagnoses that a professional has reported, and also the steps to take in overcoming the first stage, which is a lack of knowledge of your diagnosis. This has become my central point of focus in my research to better educate myself. I first-hand know how difficult the first step is, but now I have a better understanding not only to help myself but also to help my family, friends, and anyone who might need an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on.
