Problem
There are three types of vocabulary that a student possess; meaning vocabulary, reading vocabulary and sight word vocabulary. For this reflection, address the following:
i. Do you believe it is important for students to learn new vocabulary context?
ii. Of all the vocabulary instruction strategies we have explored or you have experienced, which one(s) would you be most likely to implement, and why?
iii. Think back to your own educational experiences and share how you were taught new vocabulary. Did you enjoy the methods? Were they successful?
iv. Share at least one creative way you believe you can motivate students to increase all three of their vocabulary types.
