Diabetic foot are impaired blood supply to foot i.e. vasculopathy. This leads to ischaemia which in turn leads to delayed or non-healing of foot ulcers. In India about 10-15% diabetic foot lesion are ischemic in origin. In some cases both the factors -neuropathy and vasculopathy may be responsible for diabetic foot infection and ulceration.
