Overview

Project is the development of an organizational analysis and recommendations plan with a research component. Conduct research on the availability of key internal and external data, including but not limited to historical and current financial data, competitor information, social responsibility, products, customers, mission and goals, and employee demographics for an organization of your choosing. To make this assignment more meaningfu, it is recommended that the organization you select be based on a department or division in which you currently work or aspire to work, as this will make for a more meaningful assignment experience that will incorporate your experiences and interests. The organizational analysis and recommendations plan is the final artifact for submission. All components of the assessment should be written as a formal research paper formulated in language and structure appropriate for submission to company management.

Assessment will evaluate your mastery with respect to the following outcomes:

• Formulate components of organizational strategic goals and approaches to fill performance gaps based upon analysis of internal and external data

• Analyze personnel allocation and scheduling to resolve human capital conflicts and plan for future needs

• Interpret variances in past financial data for establishing future financial resource allocations

• Evaluate progress towards established performance metrics in order to make informed decisions and respond effectively to organizational changes

a) Recommend a plan for future financial resource allocations related to staffing and hiring. Provide a justification of your recommendations and how future allocations will assist in meeting the financial needs and management goals of the company.

b) Recommend a plan for future human capital needs based on current staffing and the goals of the company.

c) Provide a proposal of four specific strategic goals, with at least one in each of the following areas: i. Personnel allocation and/or scheduling ii. Performance gaps iii. Budget allocation

d) Provide a summary proposal for the overall strategic direction of the company. Your proposal should address how your recommendations and strategic goals can assist the company in responding effectively to future organizational changes and challenges.

The organizational analysis and recommendations plan should address the following question: What major organizational strategies are needed for effective resources management and decision making related to personnel management, budget allocation, performance metrics, and goal setting?

Milestone One: Division or department within an organization of your choice/approval In task 4-2, you will need to complete Worksheet A. This worksheet is submitted along with a formal narrative (approximately two pages in length) describing the chosen company, including a brief overview of each component within the Company Background critical element.

Organizational Analysis and Recommendations Plan

Complete an organizational analysis and recommendations plan. The project plan should be between 10 and 15 pages (this will be a result of combining Worksheets A-C), not including references and cover page. The number of scholarly sources should be no less than eight. It should be a complete, polished artifact containing all of the critical elements of the final product. It should reflect the incorporation of feedback gained throughout the course.

Written components of project must follow these formatting guidelines when applicable: double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and APA format.
