Course Learning Outcomes:

Demonstrate a systematic understanding and critical appreciation of theories and models of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and change management in the context of contemporary organisations.

B) Demonstrate the following skills and abilities

Synthesize individual and organisational theoretical perspectives to systematically promote the potential for creativity, Innovation, entrepreneurship and change in practice.

The task for the first assignment requires a focus on corporate innovation and entrepreneurship

  • You are required to critically evaluate support or barriers to creativity, innovation and corporate entrepreneurship in a live project or case study organisation.
  • You will need to demonstrate a critical appreciation of organisational barriers to creativity and innovation
  • You will need to critically evaluate organisational support for creativity and innovation
  • In the context of the allocated live projects) or case study(ies) You will need to apply influential academic contributions extended through your independent reading
  • Critical, in-depth analysis in context is required leading to clear conclusions and feasible recommendations for how corporate innovation and entrepreneurship might be enhanced and sustained.
  • You will write a report of 3600 words.

Assessment details:

Aims and learning outcomes determine the need to develop a critical understanding of how creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship might be enhanced and sustained.

You will produce two assignments that demonstrate all learning outcomes. See Unit Information Form for full details.

Assignment 1: You will develop a plan for an organisation to promote creative thinking with a view to enhancing innovation and corporate entrepreneurship. You will need to include an in- depth literature review critically evaluating alternative contemporary perspectives in order to draw meaningful conclusions and develop feasible recommendations to the organisation.

You will present your analysis and plan in a 2400-word report.

Assignment 2: An in-depth evaluation of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in a case study organisation or live project. You are required to use influential contemporary theories to analyze in-depth and synthesize organisational systems leading to clear conclusions and feasible recommendations.

You will write a report of 3600 words.
