The purpose of this paper is to develop a strategic plan for Qatar cinemas and film Distribution Company. This paper has a main role which is proposing a new strategic plan to the company, which helps to design a pathway to success and growth, as well as knowing the financial status of the company in order to improve it.
This strategic plan will help the company in gathering and analyzing the internal and external information in order to track the competition and the industry that the company is performing in. The current strategy of the company should be analyzed, to know what they tried to do in the past, and what they will do in the future, which make us able to propose for them a new, updated plan.
We have used primary and secondary sources in order to collect real data. Our focus was on the main branch of Qatar cinemas and film distribution which includes the offices of the main departments of the company, to be able to contact the manager and board of directors which will help us to create a strategic plan which benefits the overall company.
The first section of the report includes a brief background of the company to show the history of Qatar cinemas and film Distribution Company and its role. Secondly, our methods and tools in collecting the data will be discussed. Thirdly, internal and external factors will be analyzed. The internal factors include the strength and weaknesses (from SWOT analysis) of the company, the 7-S and Financial ratios analysis. The external factors include the opportunities and threat (from SWOT analysis), as well as the porter’s five forces.
The SMART objectives will be mentioned in details, with proposing the tools (who, what, how and when) of implementing these objectives.
The SMART objectives will be adopted from the vision of the manager and the employees, and the objectives should improve the current status of Qatar cinema and film Distribution Company.
