Instructions

Write a 1-2 page paper following these instructions:

1. Introduce an issue in your program track of education (K-12, higher education, or corporate) that can be solved or improved through education. Provide evidence that this issue exists and describe how it may be solved or improved based on your research so far.

a. Select a current issue related to education that you would like to research.

b. Refer to resources that are relevant to your selected program track to get ideas and resources for your research. The following resources may be helpful:

1. U.S. Department of Education. This website has pages on K-12 and adult education, as well as laws and policies.

2. American Association of University Professors. The AAUP website offers a Resources section containing information on programs, research, and issues in higher education.

3. Association for Talent Development. ATD is a membership organization that offers many free resources without signing up or logging in. Explore the Resources area for a list of topics and see what is available. If you find resources that are available only with a membership, you may be able to access them using the O'Reilly Learning Platform. Learn how to access and search the platform using the O'Reilly Learning Platform Library Guide.

2. Select a learning theory and explain how it is appropriate for designing educational activities about the issue you selected. Write a one-paragraph description of an educational activity that applies this theory to the issue you have selected.

3. Cite 3 credible, relevant, and appropriate sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are no more than 5 years old. For help with research, writing, and citation, access the library or review library guides.

We do not use APA format, we do not use the word "References" instead use "Sources" for the title. Also, we use the Strayer Writing Standards when listing the articles under the sources page, list them in numerical order to match the order in which you introduced the in-text citations. Then list the full article using the following four items as follows: Source 1. The Author's First and Last Name. Year of Publication (No parenthesis). Title of the Article (No Italics).
