A soil sample has a volume of 5500 ml. It was saturated for 24 hours and then allowed to drain. The drained soil liquid was kicked over by accident so no volume was attained. The soil was then dried and the 2s was found to be 40% by volume. Soil organics was burnt off and was found to comprise about 10% by volume and air about 2%. Determine the porosity, the specific yield and the mineral content of this soil sample.
