Draw an accurate sketch of the vector addition of the two known forces. Use a protractor to draw the forces in the correct direction and according to the scale 1 N = 1.5 in. Determine the length of the net force vector in inches and the angle it points. The angle should be measured from the positive x-axis, as usual. It is best to start the picture at the bottom of this page. With the exception of converting newtons to inches, you should not be using a calculator for this.
