There are several ethical tenets one must keep in mind when conducting social research, including do no harm, avoid/minimize deception, voluntary participation, and obtaining proper consent. Remember that you could do great harm to your participants by breaking confidentiality, depending on the nature of your research, and also the research could even do great harm to you if you are not careful. Do a brief internet search (focusing on news sources and other reliable sources, ideally sociology-related) to determine whether any ethical dilemmas have resulted while researching your particular proposed thesis topic (or a different but related topic).
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
