You will need to make a plan for radical transformation of your work area in response to the COVID-19 Epsilon variant. You will need to describe radical transformation to managing a new variant of COVID-19 that is spread primarily through surface contact ( COVID-19 Epsilon variant). The Epsilon variant is deadlier and more transmissible than all earlier variants. As the Epsilon strain has developed, governments worldwide have found that hospital infections can no longer be controlled and are serving as reservoirs of Epsilon infection.

You are the Director of the allied health service in a local health district in a regional centre in NSW, Australia. You have oversight of allied health services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, Indigenous health and podiatry.

The NSW state government has just announced all hospitals will be shut for the next 12 months. Emergency Surgery and ICU will be delivered in transportable homes on football fields. In addition, each mobile house with equipment will be burned weekly as an infection control measure.

You have been tasked with planning and implementing a radical transformation of allied health services in your local health district. The NSW government has asked for creative and innovative approaches to managing the Epsilon variant in your work area. You should also provide an overview of the primary considerations for implementing the radical transformation plan.

Detailed implementation plans and timing details are not required. Still, you should provide an overview of the central theoretical creativity, innovation and change management (CIC) considerations for implementing this radical transformation plan in response to the Epsilon strain of COVID-19.

Task

1) Describe an overview of how the allied health area will undergo a radical transformation based on CIC principles in response to the Epsilon strain of COVID 19;

2) Describe your role as an allied leader in identifying change agents to facilitate creative and innovative transformative change proposals;

3) Identify potential "dark sides" to the use of change agents in the radical transformation in the allied health area;

4) Describe two different world views/approaches to CIC in understanding this radically transformative to allied health from your perspective as a leader; and

5) Create a simple communication plan for communicating your strategy to relevant stakeholders
