Professional identity is a key component of counselor development. This assignment will assist you in developing your own professional identity through researching different counseling organizations and the services and benefits that they offer.
Research a division of the American Counseling Association or the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper in which you identify how this professional organization cultivates your growing professional identity. Include the following:
• Identify the history, mission, and activities (including advocacy) of the division you chose.
• Describe your rationale for selecting the division.
• Explain how this division will enhance your professional identity.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
