After watching the documentary "We Were Children" and on your own time, you can watch "Unrepentant: Kebin Annett and Canada's Genocide", and answer the following questions:
i. The term "genocide" has been used to describe what the Canadian government and churches did by setting up and implementing the residential school policy. Explain how and in what ways their actions constituted acts of "genocide".
ii. Explain how Indigenous people who attended residential schools' experiences have become "intergenerational." Explain some of the continuing impacts of historical traumas.
