In your readings for this unit from Strengths Based Leadership, Rath and Conchie state that "in most cases, leadership teams are a product of circumstances more than design." They go on to say that "rarely are people recruited to an executive team because their strengths are the best component to those of the existing team members" (Rath & Conchie, 2008, p. 21).
Perhaps this is the case with teams in general. Everyone has had both favorable and unfavorable team experiences.
Describe the best team you have ever been associated with, and explain why it resulted in a favorable experience. What did the leader do to maximize the strengths of the team?
