2) Read the appropriate chapters in our text book that provide information on the age group being discussed. These chapters also explain key terms. See your Course Guide Outline for more information. (Textbook : life- span development)
3) Write like you are explaining the subject to someone who passed Psy 201 General Psychology, but has not taken Psy 203 Human Growth & Development yet. Yes, your instructor knows what the topic is about; but your instructor does not know if you understand the concepts if you do not explain them.
4) Use correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. These discussion forums are NOT social media posts. They are for a GRADE. That makes clarity important. If your instructor cannot tell where one idea ends and the next begins, they might miss the point you are trying to make. Do NOT use talk-to-type, unless you can remember to go back and add capitalization and punctuation at the beginning and end of sentences.
(5) Save as a word .doc file for back-up in case anything goes wrong when you try to post.
(6) Reply to at least 2 other students' posts. Ask a question or make a thoughtful comment to continue the discussion. Use complete sentences here also.
