Once there, you are to check out the following maps.
Land in Farms--Change in Acreage: 1992 to 1997 (it should be map 97-M099)
Market Value of Agricultural Products Sold by County: 1997 (it should be map 97-M030)
Average Value of Agricultural Products Sold Per Acre of Land in Farms: 1997 (it should be map 97-M033)
For the map titled Land in Farms--Change in Acreage: 1992 to 1997, describe the pattern you see regarding the change in acreage as it relates to the Western US (that portion of the US extending west of the Mississippi, but including the Dakotas). Be specific in your description.
For the agricultural products maps, describe the patterns you see as they relate to location and proximity to population centers.
Do these patterns appear to match von Thünen's agricultural land use model? How or why not?
