VW Scandal
View "Hard Nox" from the Netflix documentary "Dirty Money" (the length is 1 hour and 15 minutes). This episode discusses the Volkswagen scandal and how it relates to morality and corporate social responsibility. Write a report based on what you saw and include the following information:
i. Describe the origins, purpose, and objectives of VW.
ii. Identify the factors and players that contributed to the VW crisis and ethical dilemma.
iii. Perform a costs-benefit analysis while adhering to the principles of utilitarian theory. (by going through the three phases we discussed in class)
iv. Describe the management team's strategies for resolving the problem and whether the business was successful in doing so (compare the cost-benefit analysis results).
