Implementing State of the art Information Systems in a New Hospital. Imagine a new hospital is about to be built, for example the new Royal Adelaide hospital. The directors of SA Health would like the new hospital to be world class with the most innovative information systems including robotics, patient record and case notes, pharmacy, general administration (including patient & staff rosters), payroll and finance systems.

Many of the Royal Adelaide Hospital's Information systems are outdated. For example, the current Patient database, OASIS has been in use for a number of years, and does not create case notes electronically. Patient case notes are still stored in paper form. Linen is stored in various places and transported around the hospital by staff with trolleys. Cleaning is done manually also. Imagine that you have been contracted to investigate possible innovative information systems, including robotics to replace the outdated systems. Your task is to produce a professional report based on the scenarios as stated above.

Your Group Report must be structured as follows:

2) Overview of available information systems (approximately 500 words) - Describe the information systems that will be required for the new hospital and the staff the will use them. For example, MYOB could be used by the hospital finance department, and Orion Health has a hospital information system that could potentially be used by administration staff.

3) Feasibility Study (approximately 300 words)-Explain what type of feasibility study you would do before purchasing each hospital information systems. You should highlight the challenges and benefits that will bring to the New Hospital in implementing the proposed systems.

4) Recommendations and Critical Success factors(approximately 200 words) - From your literature review, provide recommendations as well as critical success factors for New Hospital in chosen information systems which would support its strategy within a limited amount of capital and other resources.

5) Conclusion (approximately 100 words) - Summarise and synthesise your report.
