Assignment: Homeless Veterans
Select a social justice issue for which to advocate as the focus of your assignments for this course. Once you identify an issue, develop a well-defined topic related to that issue that is narrow in scope, as a successful advocacy proposal has to be manageable in size. Based on your professional experience and interests, identify a policy practice to use as the focus of your assignments.
Prepare 3 to 4 pages in which you:
1) Describe the community you have selected.
2) Explain the social change issue.
3) Differentiate between need and demand as they relate to the issue and community.
4) Specify a needs assessment-measuring tool, and justify its use in this case.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
o Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
