The most challenging problem facing the project manager is their ability to say no. Consider the situation in which an employee comes to your office with a problem. The employee may be sincere when they say they simply want your advice but, more often than not, the employee wants to take the monkey off of their back and put in onto yours. The employee’s problem is now your problem. Identify a situation where you have fallen victim to “not saying no” and been drawn into someone else’s problem to resolve it.
