• Describe the amount and types of trainings employed in your current or former organization. Include examples and support your examples with information you obtain from this module's readings.

The types of trainings we have in our HR department are mainly webinars and trainings from our HR department in the Bay Area. We recently merged with our HR department in the Bay Area so we are learning a whole lot from that team as well through virtual meetings. Another thing I have been noticing is that with our new HR Manager that came on board, the team now has a bit more direction with her guidance and mentorship. We individually as an HR team meet with her once every two weeks and we also go over a road map of goals as a team in our HR team meetings.

• Given the complexity of modem organizations, analyze the manner in which training is changing to meet the different needs of these organizations. Provide at least two examples to support your position.

Training is changing to meet the modem needs of organizations these days. One approach is the traditional approach and another one is the evolving approach. In a traditional approach it focuses more on the needs of the mentor and the mentor will pick who he/she wants to mentor and mentors the mentee on the needs of the company. The other approach called the evolving approach involves greater control from the mentee. The mentee would be the one that picks his/her mentor. The mentee also may pick several mentors for different things to be mentored in and the mentee may also choose a mentor outside of the company as well.
