2. Research 1 online planning tool from 2different bank providers of canada.

These tools/programs allow for greater detail of input, output and analysis. 

Examples - Portfolio Analysis; Retirement Planning; Education planning, etc.

REQUIRED:

Make a report (Word document) that evaluates each of your chosen financial calculators and planning tools by answering all of the following questions:

1. Specify your chosen financial calculator and planning tools.

2. Describe the strengths and weaknesses of each tool/calculator

3. Is the tool/software offered free, and/or by paid subscription?

4. Is it a public site, or for advisors only, or both?

5. Is there any bias towards the providers' products?

6. Does it allow for printing of reports and/or analysis: If so, can it be customized in any way and is it professional looking?

7. Would you recommend it to clients and/or advisors? - Why or why not?

8. Describe the level of detail involved.

e.g. Is it too simple or too complex, or just right and explain why?

9. Does the site provide any resources to assist with informed decision-making? If so, describe and comment on perceived value or lack thereof.

Be prepared to speak to your favorite calculator and/or software tool in class.
