The Common Core Standards were implemented in many states; however, in other states they were met with resistance from parents and educators. Although these Standards specifically address K-12 education, they still have implications on young children and early childhood education.

• Share your opinion and identify any research that has influenced it.
• Describe potential pros and cons of the Standards.
