Problem
I. Some parents are raising their children with gender-neutral toys only. Explain what this means and give an example of a gender-neutral toy.
i. Using information from the Lesson, describe a possible advantage of providing a child with only gender neutral toys.
ii. Using information from the Lesson, describe a possible disadvantage of providing a child with only gender neutral toys.
II. Choose one of the following theories and discuss what someone from that theory would say regarding gender neutral toys: Psychodynamic theory, Behaviorism, Humanism, Social Cultural theory, Biological theory or Evolutionary theory.
III. Consider the moral dilemma of cheating in school. Describe one possible reason both for and against this behavior that no one else has mentioned yet. Name and describe which of Kohlberg's levels of morality would best explain each behavior.
IV. Consider Baumrind's parenting styles and think about your own caregivers. What was their style of parenting? Do parents maintain the same parenting style throughout their lives as parents? Why or why not? Do parents maintain the same parenting style with all their children? Why or why not?
