A local business deals with the provision of goods and services to a local population while a global business carries out business activities worldwide. Both local and global businesses have different sustainability principles that assist them to minimize losses and negative environmental impacts while maximizing their profits and opportunities. At the same time, these economic developments are supposed to meet the needs of the present generation without affecting those of future generations (Ha-Brookshire, 2017). The supply of fossil fuel resources is both a local and global business in Saudi Arabia. Production of these fuels is growing due to high demand, and a lot of greenhouse gases are emitted during the production process. This makes Saudi one of the largest polluters of the environment in the world. However, the country started focusing on ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions since 2012. This is possible through adoption of energy-efficient technology and investing more on renewable energy sources such as wind and solar powers.

(2017) and Hosang, J. (2017). Ha-Brookshire described "perfect duty" (p. 235) which impacts how global businesses lead and share information for sustainability.
Describe one local business and one global business. Discuss how their sustainability efforts are either hypocritical or morally responsible, and why.
