Describe the Igneous processes at work in the formation of volcanoes. Identify two different volcanoes on Earth and explain which type is more common. Defend your reasoning. Include the different types of volcanoes in your post. Briefly describe the formation of the Hawaiian Islands and how they are different from the Alaskan Aleutian Islands.

You may also select a distant location of interest and present your findings through a virtual field trip. Present your Field Trip research focus in this discussion. The description of the area of research should be no longer than two paragraphs.
