From birth, we have all be members of various groups. For the purposes of this question, we will explore teams and how working as a group affects how we think and how we act.
Please respond to all of the following prompts in the class discussion section of your online course:
Identify a situation you have been in a team. What sort of team was it and what was your task as a team?
o Explore group action within your team. Was social facilitation or social loafing more evident?
o Describe how brainstorming took place within your group. In your opinion, did it lead to more creativity and productivity than would have likely been the case if each of you had confronted the task on your own?
o Explain how groupthink and "risky shift" can adversely affect groups. Did either affect your team?
