Jack has been the Operations Manager at a Manufacturing Plant that uses a line process for many years. Today, however, his manager has advised that his new job will be an operations manager in the company's Hotel division, a services business.
i. Describe the differences that he will see between the line process in manufacturing and the services package in services.
ii. Then, describe changes in the measurement of efficiency and effectiveness that Jack will have to consider as a services operations manager rather than as a manufacturing operations manager.
