Describe components of the neuroendocrine responses

Problem: Differentiate between the components of the neuroendocrine responses. In your response include the relationship of the S.A.I.D. principle within the responses and how any tissue can be seen as an endocrine tissue within a neuroendocrine response necessary to maintain homeostasis. Why does repeated exposure to the same stress lead to a reduced homeostatic response to the stress? In your response, be sure to indicate the physiological principles that govern the change in response.

Some people have a misunderstanding about the need to consume or avoid glucose in their diet. An athlete classmate asks about the importance of glucose (or sugars in general) in their meals. To help them understand a little better, provide the scientific explanation for the role of the Cori Cycle, glucose sparing and gluconeogenesis for glucose homeostasis for the body. Within your answer be sure to identify the organs of importance, the molecules that are being used and why it is not correct to state that gluconeogenesis is the "generation of glucose from non-carbohydrate sources."
