Bias (or prejudice) means a strong inclination of the mind or a preconceived opinion about something or someone. A bias may be favorable or unfavorable: bias in favor of or against an idea. Bias can be shown within classrooms of early childhood.
You have a classroom of several students. Within the classroom you have a student with a disability. But you have to be careful not to be bias or show favoritism toward certain students.
Plan an activity that is difficult for a child with a disability to complete successfully. Create a plan to simplify the activity and break it down into manageable steps.
