Problem:
Respond back to this statement in my own words: ADEI (antiracism-diversity-equity-inclusivity) principles play a huge role in how the social worker provides services and manages resources. Antiracism involves identifying and challenging policies, systems, and practices that seem to harm individuals or groups based on race. Diversity refers to recognizing and appreciating the wide range of differences individuals bring including their beliefs, experiences and cultural or ethnic backgrounds. Equity focuses on providing resources according to each person's level of need and strengths rather than offering the same support to everyone. Inclusivity means creating an environment where individuals feel valued, safe and a genuine sense of belonging. ADEI principles are fundamental in promoting culturally competent services because they help social workers tailor interventions to each individual while considering critical factors such as culture, race, experiences, beliefs and values (Gray, 2024). Applying ADEI principle also supports professional competency as outlined in the NASW Code of Ethics (2021), enabling social workers to engage effectively with clients from diverse populations. This approach builds trust, strengthens the practitioner-client relationship and enhances the overall quality of care. Need Assignment Help?
