The college is facing reduced state funding and decreasing enrollment.
• Discuss the issue in light of the kinds of organizational structures in place at your organization or institution or at another that facilitate action (open) and those that serve as barriers (closed).
• Discuss the criteria you use to determine effectiveness and examine artifacts (e.g., organization charts, strategic plans [mission, values, goals], accreditation documents).
• Include a SWOT analysis that addresses both theory and structure.
• Describe the current structure AND describe an alternate structure you believe could work better and why.
• If you believe the current structure is appropriate and would not recommend any changes, defend that position using several references to course literature.
