Perform some background research online, and in a minimum of 300 words, (1) identify and provide a definition for a fraudulent scheme (e.g., advance fee schemes, pyramid schemes, telemarketing fraud, ...), (2) describe how the scheme typically operates and provide an illustration, (3) describe a profile of a typical victim of such fraud and describe how the scheme may harm the victim, and (4) briefly describe law enforcement efforts to combat the scheme (by describing the specific statutes that criminalize the practice, or by describing FBI programs developed to raise awareness...).
