Homework: Strategic Project Management for Supply Chain Management

You pick the project! Find a project at work (past or present), either something you are working on or a project that you would like to see done. It can be a case of something you are working on, would like to work on or a past project that wasn't managed well that you would like to revisit. It must be business related and preferred some type of tie to supply chain (if possible). If you can not think of a project or come up with one, let me know and I will give you data for one (but likely much less interesting!) If you are uncertain if something is appropriate, just shoot me an email for advice or to confirm.
We will build on this project, so as you think of a project, think of something we can continue to build on in Building a Project Schedule and Managing Risk.
Task:
Complete the following:
• Define the Scope of the Project and complete a Scope Statement (short form), follow the Project Scope Checklist.
• Complete a Project Priority Matrix
• Complete the WBS - Work Breakdown Structure from Project (Level 1) to Work Package (Level 5). Remember...You may have to make some assumptions in this WBS.
• OBS - Organizational Breakdown Structure and PBS - Process Breakdown Structure are optional, add if you feel you need it for your project.
• Complete a Responsibility Matrix
• Complete a Communication Plan
• Complete estimates for both time and cost for the project, you pick the method and technique from our readings in Chapter 5. Since you don't have resources like a full project, you can make reasonable assumptions on time and cost as needed.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
• The answer must be using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, typed, with one-inch margins on all sides.
• The response also includes a cover page containing the student's name, the title of the homework, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
• Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
