• Part I: Compare the events that form/propagate an action potential along the axonal plasma membrane (electrochemical) with synapse transmission (chemical) across the synapse. Go into detail with respect to the different types of channels and what they do. Include a labeled diagram of a neuron with key anatomical aspects. Apply a chart or diagram form depending on your learning preference.
• Part II: Describe a spinal reflex learned in lecture, map out the spinal reflex and include the various components. Define contra-lateral and ipsi-lateral? Explain what loss of reflex would mean clinically for a patient.
