Cytoplasmic Matrix ( = cytosol or Hyaloplasm )
This is the actual protoplasmic part of the cytoplasm, containing dissolved proteins, electrolytes, glucose, etc. And forming the jelly like internal milieu of the cell ,It is this fluid whose complex chemical composition and physical properties have been described in the previous chapter. It is usually differentiated into a thin, but more rigid hyaline and homogeneous cortical layer, called ectoplasm, and a central mass of less rigid and granular endoplasm.
