The meeting is one of three yearly meetings where the committee set their agenda, release statements and opinions on reports submitted by member states, and coordinate with related committees, interest groups, experts, policymakers, government officials, and the public. Pick one current issue or activity in this CESCR session.
Write a short summary explaining the issue or activity. For example, if you are looking at the report on Mexico, pick one of the issues for which the committee has requested additional information or perhaps the response by the Mexican government on a particular issue (e.g., availability of education, access to employment, etc).
To the best of your understanding, which particular Article(s) of the ICESCR is applicable to this issue or activity?
Address its possible significance (or lack thereof) and provide additional critical commentary related to the issue or activity.
