Assignment task: Maple ltd is an organisation which has been in the retail industry since the 1990s and has been expanding in the last 2 years. Although it put a system in place when it first started to handle the basic human resource management functions, it is now finding very difficult recruiting the best talent and having a diverse workforce. It has also found that it is losing employees to new competitors entering the retail industry. The training it provides to its employees is also outdated and it has also found issues complying with its local labour laws.
It thinks that it is making poor decisions in relation to its workforce in expansion. With the greater use of the internet, it thinks that it needs to automate more of the employees lifecycle and human resource processes.
